Deck Episodes 2 & 3

These pictures were taken over a 3 week period. Monday is my only real day off so it all has to come together then so it has taken us a while but it is worth it.
Who says building a deck can't be fun.

Meeting of the minds.

Danger!!!

Joe shown' off.

This is as close to me getting up on the knee board as you can see at the moment. I'm going to try again some other time. It was fun.

O.K. ... Back to work!

Board are down on top and we've been using it for coffee, breakfasts and watchin' the FireFlies ... I mean Lightnin' Bugs at night.

Israel Trip

Well … we have decided to go to Israel with our church in October. We had really wanted to and were actually saving to go but were unsure whether we would really be going but we sent our deposit in yesterday. We already have our passports because we have really wanted to go on Missions trips. Our Pastor will be going and teaching throughout so it will be amazing. We will be leaving on October 30th and returning on November 11th. Our friends Joe and Gina Floyd will be going with us so it will be extra fun. I’ve heard a trip to Israel is like a year in Bible College and I’m sure it will be especially interesting with our Pastor teaching in the actual locations we have been studying in the Bible.

It is going to be very expensive and like I had said we have been saving but it is still going to be tricky. I hate to ask but we hope that some of you might be able to donate a little bit to help fund our trip. We sure don’t want anyone to feel obligated to help and we wouldn’t want anyone to give too much but if a few people gave a little bit it would sure help. Thanks.

It's True.

Our lot and deck.

We had thought we had everything forward of the creek but we found out we have the whole hill and part of the woods next to the driveway.

Click on any of the pictures to make them bigger!

Joe is "helping" us build our deck and it is coming together nicely! We are building out of an old deck that some friends of ours gave us.

I'll update the pictures as we go along.
